The Clyde Coastal Path crosses some open muirs but also goes through some towns and
villages, each of which has its own character and facilities for the walker.
Greenock and Milngavie are the largest towns on the route where most things can be
purchased. If anything specialised is required, Glasgow is a short train or bus journey
away and Glasgow can provide just about anything in its vast range of shops.
Smaller towns and villages do have their attractions and the chart to the right gives
an indication of the facilities on offer.
